Profit
Our mission statement is: To “Make A Profit” by providing a quality product at a very competitive price, in a controlled systematic way, for a sustained period of time to each of our customers.
And yes make a profit was in quotes, capitalized, and underlined. This was mailed out to 1000 of our customers. [Ed. Doesn’t everyone enjoy making others rich? Damn ungrateful customers!]
I’m not sure why “making a profit” is such a dirty term but you wouldn’t have a job if your company wasn’t making one.
You don’t get it do you? This is not a tea party rally, bucko. Zero of the “technology” companies I’ve EVER been employed by have been profitable.
That’s not a a mission statement.
No one is that dumb.
Is your firm run by a son of the recently deceased founder.
That’s because the ones in charge are usually embezzling at the same time they’re issuing directives to reduce costs by not running the heater in the winter or the ac in the summer.
