Wacky Manager Speak

Just a few little highlights….
“We’re not trying to boil the ocean here.”
“Do you have any bandwidth to work on a support call?”
“We need to interface one-on-one offline post team meeting.”

“I think we need a multi-lateral verbalisation in the real-time mode” – you mean you want a meeting?

“boil the ocean”? Is that a new phrase that has sprouted up in English (because of a movie line, for example?), or is it perhaps a too literal translation from another language
    by a non-native English speaker?

    Nothing against non-native English speakers!

Just trying to understand the origins of the phrase, thanks.
